FAQs

What’s the wedding dress code?

Snazzy ;)

“What the hell does that mean?” you may be asking… Basically, anything from formal to semi-formal. This could range from tuxes and floor-length gowns to sport coats and cocktail dresses. Whatever elevated attire that makes you feel comfortable while still showing up, well, snazzy!

The Friday night rehearsal dinner dress code is Dressy Casual. Sundresses, jumpers, and matching skirt sets are great options for the gals; and slacks or nice jeans paired with a collared shirt is perfect for the guys.

What weather should we expect, and will we be outside?

Hot, but cooler in the late afternoons and evenings

Just like Chicago, Scottsdale’s weather can vary greatly in the spring. There’s been year’s that April 15 was in the 70s and others the 90s. But, regardless of that range, you can expect it to start cooling down right before sunset, which is when our ceremony will take place. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside before and during sunset, while the reception will take place inside.

Friday night rehearsal dinner will also be held outside right before, during and after sunset.

Are children welcome?

No, not to the wedding events

While you are more than welcome to bring your kids to enjoy all the fun that is Scottsdale, we will not be having children at either the Rehearsal Dinner or Wedding Ceremony/Reception. However, if you’d like to bring your kids to the Goodbye Brunch, just let us know!

What do you recommend to do in Scottsdale?

Hiking and golfing and pool-time- oh my!

Scottsdale has so much to offer, from outdoor sports to shopping and amazing eats.

Some of our favorite hikes include Camelback Mountain, Tom’s Thumb or Marcus Landslide at the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, and Pinnacle Peak, which we’d love for you to hike with the bride Friday morning at 9am!

Some of our (Aaron’s) favorite golf courses include Troon North Golf Club, We-Ko-Pa Golf Club, and Quintero Golf Club.

Be sure to check out the vibrant Old Town Scottsdale for a fun day of shopping at local boutiques, art galleries and souvenir shops, or do a bit of luxury shopping at the Scottsdale Fashion Square mall. Some of our (Lauren’s) favorite shops are Leela Market and STONES Crystal Shop.
